A 1920s 18ct gold diamond five-stone ring. The graduated old-cut diamonds, to the scrolling gallery and plain band. Estimated total diamond weight 0.40ct, I-J colour, SI2-P1 clarity. Hallmarks for London, 1920. Weight 2.7gms.
Overall condition fair condition. Surface scratches in keeping with general age and wear. Band slightly out of shape. Would recommend attention to all settings as some parts are deficient. Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. The diamonds are visible with central inclusions, some visible without magnification to include a surface reaching inclusion to a side stone. Maker's mark L. S alongside hallmarks. Ring size T 1/2, probably larger if not misshapen. Please see the Important Notices for Purchasers in our catalogue and online for coloured gemstones. Condition reports are offered as a guide only and we highly recommend inspecting any lot to satisfy yourself as to its condition.
