  Just over 5/8" height (0.65"), total. The Viking heart in its fully developed form with a cusp top formed by the terminals of the broad borders. The center with an elaborate trefoil (foliate motif). Both forms are abundantly referenced in Viking literature. Substantial with high relief decoration, produced by the open face mold technique. The heart stood for bravery, fortitude, loyalty, integrity, all attributes of the Viking warrior. It is abundantly referenced in Viking literature. Surface textured from burial. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold overlay restored on a gilt Sterling silver neck chain for contemporary wear. Jewelry gift boxed with certificate of authenticity.
