Gilt bronze, size 4 1/2 for the small finger as was the custom. Round section band, 3.5mm thick. Raised round bezel with concentric circles representing the eye. Intended to protect the wearer against those empowered to inflict misfortune and harm through a malevolent gaze, a common theme in Roman pagan religion. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold surface restored. Jewelry gift boxed with certificate of authenticity.
