- Lot Description
Gilt bronze, size 3 3/4 for the small finger as was the custom. Round section band, 1.7mm thick. Raised bezel of disk form with concentric circles representing the eye. Intended to protect the wearer against those empowered to do harm by their evil glance, a common theme in Roman pagan religion. Gilt bronze, well detailed. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold surface restored. Jewelry gift boxed with certificate of authenticity.
