- Lot Description
Classic heart form. Over 5/8" in height plus the loop. Low domed heart in its fully evolved with cusped top and broad border. Broad heart-shaped edge. Central trefoil, a popular Viking image with supernatural significance, now lost. All executed in high relief with fine definition. The heart stood for bravery, fortitude, loyalty, integrity, all attributes of the Viking warrior. It is abundantly referenced in Viking literature. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold surface restored on aa 18" gilt Sterling silver neck chain for modern wear. Jewelry gift boxed with certificate of authenticity.
