Pair of Chinese gilt bronze fan shaped banner plaques supported on tall turned wooden poles, each banner has a cast gilt bronze dragons head at the top beneath which phoenix, dragons and bats surround a fan shaped cartouche, a second dragons head holds the base of the banner in it's mouth, it's long neck fitting onto the carrying pole, with fortune, emolument and longevity symbols there are Chinese characters and they translate as follows: 'WUYONG piously worship to SHUI YUE GONG( Water Moon Palace), Autumn, 27th year of Guang Xu (1901)'Shui Yue Gong( Water Moon Palace) is a Buddhism Guanyin Temple, located in Hong Kong.
