Property from the Collection of Scott L. Sandler, Hilton Head Island, SC
Description:
Volkstedt Porcelain Figural Group, with seated woman playing a string instrument and standing man holding music book, marked in blue on back of base.Measurements: Height: 9 1/4 in. x Width: 8 in. x Depth: 6 in.
Condition:
Restored condition, woman with broken and repaired hand, the same hand lacking fingers, head of instrument lacking, the man's outstretched hand broken and repaired, small chips and losses to lace on clothing, in need of light cleaning, hairline crack around back foot of chair, minor rubbing and losses on back of base, minor chip to edge of mans coat, minor rubbing to gilt decoration.
