Property from the Estate of David Rapkin
Description:
Two Pairs of African Wood Figures, a pair of black and white painted wood Ibeji Twins, probably Yoruba, Nigeria and a pair of carved wood male and female figures, female figure with beads, probably Senufo, Ivory Coast (both with old bug damage, female figure's foot detached and with losses, male figure with cracking).
Provenance: Exhibited "African Art in Unlikely Places: The David Rapkin Collection," University of Nebraska, Eisentrager-Howard Gallery, 2012, the Senufo figures purchased from Tribal Art Forum in 2007.Measurements: Height: of male Ibeji, 11 3/8 in. x Width: 4 in. x Depth: 3 3/8 in.

Overall good condition, some light wear to paint, see description.
