Property from a Private Collection, Jacksonville, FL
Description:
H. Sodron, Marble Cupid, Probably Italian, 19th Century, signed on back 'H. Sodron', depicting cupid holding a butterfly, his back with detachable wings, and seated on a tree stump with foliate carving, a bow and quiver of arrows, on an associated circular plinth and base. Overall height: overall 65 in.Measurements: Height: of marble cupid 34 in. x Width: 14 in. x Depth: 16 1/2 in.
Condition:
Good condition, cleaned, with losses and restorations to fingers and feet, chips to carved decoration on tree stump and foliage, chips and scratches to associated plinth and base.
