Description:
Group of 10 Books, comprising the Waverly Novels, Pocket Edition by Sir Walter Scott, 1829, Edinburgh, 4 volumes in 2, including Waverly and Guy Mannering bound together and The Antiquary and Bob Roy bound together, all with engraved portraits or frontispieces and illustrated titles, half bound with gilt lettering; "Holland" by Edmondo de Amicis, translated from Italian by Helen Zimmern, 1894, Volume 2, with frontis and multiple plates throughout, half bound with gilt lettering; "The Works of William Paley," 1821, London, Volume 5, leather bound with gilt lettering; "Drummond of Hawthornden," with inscription at end of preface "Given to the College of King James in Edinburgh by William Drummond" (lacking title page and front cover); Charles Dickens "The Pickwick Papers," Collins, 1953, with engraved portrait, soft bound in red leather, with gilt tooling; "The Lake English Classics" edited by William Vaugn Moody, 1919, including Coleridge and Lowell, blue cloth bound; "Masterpieces of the World's Best Literature" edited by Jeannette L. Gilder, 1905, with red and black title, red cloth bound; and two Bibles, one 1859 Old Testament, published in Edinburgh, leather bound with gilt edges the other 1854 Old and New Testament, published in London, with early owner inscriptions, black leather binding with gilt edges and gilt metal decoration on edges of covers with lock.Measurements: Height: of tallest, 8 3/4 in. x Width: 5 5/8 in. x Depth: 1 1/8 in.

Overall good condition, general wear to covers, mild toning and occasional light foxing throughout, see description.
