Description:
Flemish Verdure Tapestry Panel, Late 17th Century, depicting a spread winged diving bird among green foliage with bridge and cabin in the background. Provenance: Sotheby's European Works of Art, 29 Jan 1999, sale 7262 lot 174A, $8,337.Measurements: Height: overall 9 ft. 5 in. x Width: 6 ft. 3 in.
Condition:
Overall good condition, central scene with cabin and bridge faded, some separation, particularly in center faded section, some toning, areas with minor repairs, with later fabric edge and backing. Dimensions of tapestry section: 9 ft. 1 in. x 5 ft.
