Description:
English Rosewood and Brass Mounted Vanity Case, First Half 19th C, the locking rosewood and brass inlaid case opening to a red velvet and gilt-tooled leather interior, the upper section with latch opening to leather pocket and removable standing mirror (mirrorplate with losses throughout to silvering), the lower section with 12 various silverplate and glass jars and boxes and 4 mother-of-pearl pins.Measurements: Height: of case 6 in. x Width: 13 in. x Depth: 9 in.
Condition:
Overall good vintage condition, overall general wear, some pitting to metal, lacking key, some areas of brass inlay lifting and bent, some brass missing, interior with staining and wear.
