Description:
English Mahogany and Brass Mounted Writing Box 19th C., on Stand, on later stand, the hinged top opening to a leather lined writing surface, inkwell and pen recess, each leather hinged panel opening to wells, the later stand with square legs joined by stretchers.Measurements: Height: overall 23 in. x Width: 18 in. x Depth: 11 in.
Condition:
Good quality, condition commensurate with age and use, age crack to top across entire width, water stains, old marks and scratches, interior in good condition, some ink stains, leather lined panels later, lifting to brass banding at sides, old marks and scratches, scuffs to legs.
