Property of a Hilton Head Island, SC Estate
Description:
English Ironstone Tureen and Underplate, 19th C, with cobalt and white ground decorated with pink red and blue floral design with gilt accents, marked 'Ashworth' and 'A.Bros, Ironstone Real China'. Together with receipt from Geo. C. Birlant & Co., Charleston, S.C., from 2008, $1238.Measurements: Height: of tureen 7 3/8 in. x Width: of platter 13 3/8 in.
Condition:
Overall good slightly worn condition, wear to gilt, particularly along edges, craquelure, minor staining to interior of tureen, minor hairline cracks in center of tureen, small firing crack on one handle, small hairline crack to edge of lid.
