Chaucer, Geoffrey, CANTERBURY TALES, 1741 & 1798, with QUEEN ANELIDA, 1905, comprising Chaucer, Geoffrey THE CANTERBURY TALES OF CHAUCER, MODERNIS'D BY SEVERAL HANDS (London, Tonson, 1741), published by Mr. Ogle, 3 vols., contemporary calf (joints splitting and cracked); THE CANTERBURY TALES (Oxford, Clarendon Press, 1798), ed Thomas Tyrwhitt, 2nd edition, 2 vols., 4to, frontispiece portrait engraving (vol. 1 both boards detached, vol. 2 joints splitting and cracked, both with some foxing and toning); and THE STORY OF QUEEN ANELIDA AND THE FALSE ARCITE (CUP, 1905) paper boards, facsimile plates, 8vo (some pages uncut, minor foxing).Measurements: Height: of largest 11 1/2 in. x Width: 9 in. x Depth: 2 3/4 in.
