Property from a Savannah, GA Estate
Description:
American School, Portrait of a Little Girl in Blue, Oil, unsigned, depicting a little girl wearing blue, inscription on back of stretcher 'Florence Wade (Mrs. Gardner) - Great-Aunt of Ruth Rankin Espry, Cornelia Rankin Groves,' in a giltwood frame.Measurements: Height: by sight 21 3/4 in. x Width: 17 1/2 in.
Condition:
Restored condition, large areas of restoration to background and body of figure, with small spots of inpainting in the face, canvas relined, frame with wear and some losses to gilt. Frame size: 26 3/8 in. x 22 3/8 in.
