Property from the Estate of a Former General Electric International Executive, Hilton Head Island, SC
Description:
2 Japanese Chargers and Imari Stacking Danju, comprising a 10 7/8 in. shaped edge charger marked in blue on underside, a 15 5/8 in. unmarked charger, and a lidded food container separating into four compartments, unmarked, circa 1850. Provenance of Danju container: The House of Antiques, Kamakura, Japan, 1991.Measurements: Height: of container 9 1/2 in. x Width: 6 1/2 in.
Condition:
Overall good condition, all with general wear, scratches, and glaze blemishes, and rubbing and losses to gilt, chargers with rubbing to enamel decorations in centers, larger charger with hairline crack with associated frits to rim, container with chips to two edges of handle and minor wear and frits to rims of sections.
