VICTORIAN CERTIFICATED BURMA RUBY AND DIAMOND RING, 5.2 grams, testing 18 c. gold. Vibrant ruby with excellent clarity of approx. 1.98 ct. (Certificated, Burma 'Mogok', No heat). Diamonds bright and lively, totalling approx. 1.20 ct. Size M 1/2. See Certificate. ' Located in the heart of Myanmar, amongst the rugged mountains and dense jungles, is the Mogok Valley, known as the 'Valley of Rubies'. Shaped by its unique geology, it has yielded some of the most impressive rubies in the world. Many record-breaking rubies sold have come from a Mogok mine. The most well-known pieces include "The Sunrise Ruby" and "The Crimson Flame". What makes Mogok rubies so special? Mogok rubies are renowned for their exceptional quality.
