A GEORGE III SILVER CANTEEN FOR TWELVE PERSONS
Old English Bead pattern, comprising table forks by William Sumner & Richard Crossley, London 1781, each engraved with initials T / * / P W to terminal front and a crest to reverse; side forks, assorted makers and dates (including Thomas Chawner, London 1776; maker IB, 1817), similarly engraved; table spoons by Hester Bateman, London 1777-78, and one by Elizabeth Tookey, London 1770, each engraved with a crest to terminal front and initials T / * / P W to reverse; dessert spoons, assorted makers and dates (including Hester Bateman, London 1778; William Sumner & Richard Crossley, London 1781; George Smith II, London 1791), similarly engraved; and table and side knives, silver handles by Robert Trickett & Co, Sheffield 1779, each engraved with a crest (different to forks and spoons) and initials T / * / P W.
