United States Presidential Collection of Twenty-Two (22) Different First Presidents Carte de Visite Photographic Images, Individually Plexiglas Display Cased, Each CDV grading Crisp Extremely Fine to Near Mint.
This exceptional Collection of 22 Carte de Visite images of different Presidents of the United States were obviously hand-selected and carefully added over time. Each Carte de Viste is of superior quality and individually housed in matching screw sealed clear plexiglas display cases measuring about 3.5" wide x 5.75" tall x .5" thick. This wonderful group includes both images from artist portraits as well as from Life as for the Presidents alive during the introduction of early photography. The collection is sold intact as the time and effort required to recreate this group adds significant overall value being virtually complete, with only the relatively common CDV of U.S. Grant lacking and having one representative CDV of President Grover Cleveland who was elected twice as the 22nd and 24th Pressident, which is where this series of Presidential CDVs concludes. It no doubt took many years to locate and acquire these wonderful high quality Presidential CDVs. The original collector did selected only the nicest examples available and took the added time and cost to individually protect each example in its Plexiglas display case, making this collection fully ready for display. Many of these Presidential CDV are highly desirable and scarce, some individually bring up to several hundred dollars when available, plus an opportunity factor premium should be considered.
