EDWARD EVERETT (1794-1865). American politician, pastor, educator, diplomat, and orator from Massachusetts, he served as U.S. Representative, U.S. Senator, the 15th Governor of Massachusetts, Minister to Great Britain, and United States Secretary of State, and Harvard University President. April 15, 1848-Dated, Presentation Copy First Edition Printed Booklet Signed, "Presented by Edward Everett", titled: "EULOGY 0N THE LIFE AND CHARACTER OF JOHN QUINCY ADAMS, Delivered At The Request of The Legislature of Massachusetts In FANEUIL HALL, by EDWARD EVERETT." It measures about 9.25" x 5.75" having 71 numbered pages. Condition is excellent, being Extremely Fine and in very nice condition. String bound, paper covers tight, the internal pages appear fresh. This Eulogy Oration given before the Legislature of Massachusetts, printed by State Printers, Boston, 1848. This rare Author Signed Presentation Copy has its original light blue paper wraps, being Author Presented and fully Signed by "Edward Everett" on cover, at the upper right.
