December 31, 1828-Dated, "MASSACHUSETTS SPY, OR WORCESTER GAZETTE," with "BELL" Advertisement for Paul Revere's, "THE REVERE COPPER COMPANY," Very Fine.
Wonderful accounts of historic news of the day, featuring a terrific page 4 paid advertisement for Paul Revere's, "THE REVERE COPPER COMPANY," foundry -- which features a wonderful sharp and well printed large Engraved Woodblock cut printed vignette of a large Bell atop Two Cannons. Includes a bonus ad, also with a large Bell vignette, of a competing firm named "The Boston Copper Company." This issue is Vol. 53, No. 2909, in a 6-column layout, measuring 19.5" x 14.75", 4 pages, complete as issued. Disbound, with fragments of the original binding still attached. In generally clean nice condition, with a small binding traces on the right edges of the first and third pages where disbound, none of which affects the wonderful Bell vignettes. Additional important historic content includes a front page, two column piece on the retirement of John Quincy Adams. Also included are an anecdote on Temperance, a remedy for drunkenness, and an Almanack for the year 1829. A great Ad for Revere "Church, Academy, and Factory BELLS !
