This is a very rare original Bound Volume, inclusive of both Volumes I and II (52 issues) of "THE EVANGELICAL MONITOR... CONTAINING A HISTORY OF THE ORIGINAL AND PROGRESS OF THE MOST IMPORTANT MISSIONARY SOCIETIES" Woodstock, Vermont: by Walter Chapin, David Watson Printer, 1821-1823, Volumes containing 204 and 416 pages. It has its original 3/4 calf binding, with a marbled paper over its boards. The Individual issues run from April 14, 1821 to April 19, 1823. This rarely encountered early Vermont periodical contains much on various period revivals of Religion, Vermont Churches, Missionary Activities occurring particularly in Hawaii, the Solomon Islands, India and elsewhere. This impressive Volume includes all of the original publications within Volumes I and II (this publication ended with a third volume, published in 1823-24).
