Rarely encountered Two Volume Set, Complete, including the following:
1. 1803-Dated Original, Leather Bound Vol I, measuring 10" x 6.75", "A Collection Of All Such Acts Of The General Assembly Of Virginia, With A New And Complete Index, Richmond. Printed By Samuel Pleasants, Jun. & Henry Pace". This volume appears complete and original, with 454 Pages, containing Acts dating between 1776 to 1800. Also included is a 72-page Index. Starts in 1776: "At a General Convention of Delegates and Representatives,... held at the Capitol, in the City of Williamsburg, on Monday, the 6th of May, 1776." Overall, in original fine condition, complete with its original calf covers a bit worn with minor scrapes and with interior light scattered tone, and dampstaining on the top half of the majority of the pages.
2. 1808-Dated Original, Leather Bound Vol. II, measuring 10" x 6.25", "A Collection Of All Such Acts Of The General Assembly Of Virginia. Richmond. Printed By Samuel Pleasants Junior, Printer to The Commonwealth 1808." Complete with 322 Pages, plus an 1812 Supplement with 209 Pages, and an ERRATA, by William Munford And William Hay Jr. Overall, this Volume's condition is cleaner and nicer than Volume I, with varying degrees of minor tone scattered throughout. An important collection of the rules and regulations issued by Virginia as it emerged from a Colony into full Statehood. Lacking in most collections and institutions. (2 volumes)
