Contains the Letter accepting Command of the Army, Farewell Address to Army, 1789 Inaugural speech, 1800 Funeral Orations, Order of Procession, Congressional Resolutions of Honor, and many more. Includes a Dedication to Martha Washington. Sharp clear deep black printing. Page 142 shows George Washington's Casket surrounded by cavalry, infantry, guard, clergy, and pallbearers (Col. Simms, Col. Gilpin, Col. Ramsay, Col. Marsteller, Col. Payne, Col. Little). Other than the actual Congressional records or some newspaper accounts, we think this is the first attempt to collate this information together in book form as part of a short biography.
