- Lot Description
QUEEN ANNE BURL WALNUT CHEST-ON-CHEST, C. 1710, H 78", W 38", D 22":A beveled cornice above three short drawers and six long drawers. Provenance: Kentshire Galleries, New York, NY, purchased November 1984.
Condition
There are cracks in the veneer, as to be expected with the age of the piece. None of the veneer is lifting. There are a few areas that have small veneer repair. These small repairs are professional restorations and well done. On the bottom chest, at the front left, there are 3 veneer repairs that have a greenish tint to them and do not match the color of the chest. There is a piece of veneer missing from the bottom base of the chest. There are also 3 pieces of veneer missing from the right front side, of the bottom chest. The first long drawer, on the top chest, is missing the handle pull. This is a beautiful piece of antique furniture, it is solid and intact. It has been well preserved.
