The sideboard offers a serpentine front above central drawer flanked by two book-matched cellarette drawers. The drawers offer cockbeading to all sides. The sideboard boasts a satinwood inlay of satin string parquetry and a rosewood border. Presented on six straight tapered legs with canted feet. With hand casted brass octagonal handles, each drawer with an escutcheon. Circa 1760 to 1790. Provenance: Stair & Company, London, England, 1994. Having the quirks of a beloved antique sideboard. No notable losses or demerits observed, relative ot age and use. A handsome, stately piece of furniture. When viewed under the sideboard, professional restoration is observed (c. 19th century). The front-facing right side edge and front-facing left back edge of the tabletop has losses to the parquetry and cockbeading.
