Titled 'October Afternoon', signed and dated 1919 lower left. The work itself measures 8.25 x 12.5 inches. Apparently a Massachusetts fall landscape. The Museum of Fine Arts label verso references Roland Nickerson, a Chicago native who owned property overlooking Cape Cod in Brewster Massachusetts, now Nickerson State Park. A Vose Gallery label verso as well.
Very good, minor grime overall , very minor bit of inpainting top edge near the frame near center visible only under UV light, no other inpainting, no loss, damage or repair. This work has been re-lined.
