An exceptional example of execution, design and condition. The domed cover with gilded acanthus bud finial on the baluster form body with gilt bronze acanthus handles each side of the hand painted scene of a classical maiden with airborne cherub in a flower garden, raised on a celeste blue spindle mounted base with gilded bronze lion mask dolphins at each of the canted corners. The body revolves on the central spindle base to display the alternate image of an oval reserve landscape with distant castle near a body of water. Artist signed G. Poitevin at the lower left of the front reserve, Sevres cipher signature under the domed cover and inside the base. This rates as a very fine and unusual example. We happily provide seamless in-house packing and shipping services on nearly everything we sell.
