The rare example with monogrammed canvas cover has what appears to be a special order interior of twenty-five shoe compartments and eight slide-out drawers of various sizes. plus a separate matching box with hinged lid. No other example of this type could be found on the market currently or historically at auction or otherwise. Every fitting, all hardware and each leather application that should be stamped with the maker's mark is stamped. The first numeral of serial number on the barrel of the lock appears to be a numeral 1 making the full number 107035.
Measures 26 x 45 x 21.5 inches.
Without proof of exemption, be aware that internet sales tax applies to all Internet transactions and local sales tax may apply to local pick-up transactions.
Please be aware that this lot is too large to ship by conventional carrier such as UPS, USPS or FedEx and will instead require local pick-up, delivery by a freight carrier or delivery by a blanket-wrap shipper. The cost most likely will not be low.
Very good condition, noting the pattern is faint, handle missing from one end, dented and scratched corners, appears to have been varnished, losses to the interior leather handles as shown, no odor, no serious damage.
We happily provide seamless, low-cost in-house shipping on nearly everything we sell. Handling and materials fees range $12 to $16.50 per box shipment for most items, depending on size, weight and or fragility. Items requiring construction of a crate will be charged at $17.50 per hour for labor plus the cost of materials. Items designated as over-sized by commercial carriers and those weighing more than 100 pounds may be best shipped by 'blanket wrap' carriers. We can provide rough shipping estimates for any lot at request. Until further notice, we cannot ship internationally at this time.
