Fritz Keck (American/PA, 20th C) – Pouring Open Hearth No 3 Homestead Works Giclee - Depicting a scene from the Homestead works, pouring the heat at No 3. Giclee is on canvas board, in a wood frame. Signed in the print and by hand on the lower left. Fritz Keck is a well-known native Pittsburgh Artist. He grew up in Edgewood and graduated from Carnegie Mellon University. Keck took old black and white archival photos donated from local entities and brought them to life through oil on canvas. Giclees were made of the original oils. These paintings reflect the region’s history in steel making, mining, ethnic neighborhoods, trolleys, rivers, and other iconic subjects. The absence of a specific condition report does not imply an object is free of any defects. It can be assumed that ALL items are in vintage or antique condition and show signs of wear and age commensurate with their age and use; this might not be specifically mentioned in the condition report. Please note, all photos are also part of the condition report, and should be thoroughly examined. Please contact us PRIOR TO THE DAY OF THE AUCTION with any questions regarding the condition of specific items. Condition reports will NOT be given the day OF the auction or AFTER purchase. These reports are provided as a courtesy, we do our best do describe each item accurately, however, each item is still sold as is, where is.
Removal of items/Shipping: Please do not bid if you are unable to pick up your items during the scheduled removal time or unable to make arrangements for shipping on your own. We do not offer shipping in any way. Buyer must pay for and make shipping arrangements. As a service to our customers, Dargate offers several shipping company suggestions . The buyer is free to contact any shipping company they wish, and shippers are not limited to those suggested by Dargate. No refunds or credit card chargebacks will be granted due to a failure to remove items at the designated time. After the scheduled removal time, if no contact has been made and/or the buyer has not arranged shipping with a shipper of their choosing, and/or the items are still at the location, those items will be considered abandoned and you may be charged a removal fee to dispose of your items. In the event an item is not available for pickup, the buyer must immediately notify our onsite staff before leaving the premises to file a claim. By leaving the premises prior to filing a claim the buyer agrees that no adjustment or refund will be made. Shipping will be at the sole responsibility of the buyer. No in house shipping is offered, all shipping will be by a shipper of your choosing, arranged by you. The auctioneer as a courtesy may provide names and contact information of a local shipping company, but is in no way endorsing said shipper. Items will be dropped off or picked up by the shipper only on or after the scheduled pick up day. We are not responsible for delays in shipping in any way after the pick up date as a courtesy. Any fees and charges incurred for shipping are separate from your purchase and charged by the shipping agent and are not included on auction invoice. Dargate Auction Gallery is not responsible in any way for charges or fees from your chosen shipper. Buyer assumes all liability and risk for items once the auction ends. Buyer agrees to let Dargate Auction Gallery release items to the buyers chosen shipper. buyer must remove or cause property to be shipped from Dargate's premises within 30 days of the auction close. Storage charges of $5.00 per item per day will be incurred by the buyer beyond the 30 day limit and must be paid before the property is released. 100 days after the close of auction, Dargate may dispose of left property without reserve, and without notice to the purchaser. Items left for a length of time where storage fees exceed the purchase cost of goods, Dargate shall take possession of the items, and have the option of reoffering the merchandise with no obligation to the original buyer.

Items can be picked up at the auction house during normal business hours. If you want to make arrangements with your own shipper, please advise us who is picking the items up, and when they will be here to get them.

**This service is more expensive. They provide excellent service, but it is not recommended for small or lower priced items. Your items will have a greater chance of arriving safely and undamaged using this service.
You will need to contact them after the auction with your bidder number and the lot numbers of the items you've won. (You can forward them your invoice) They will give you a quote for shipping, once it is paid, they will pick up the items, pack them and ship them. All payment and tracking goes through them
