About Auction

This auction features the quilt and textile collection of the Estate of noted author, quilt historian, and a co-founding member of the AQS Quilt Appraisal Certification Program. Bobbie was a long time collector and quilter, and part owner of a quilt shop decades ago. Many of her quilts were published in her books. This collection includes antique and vintage quilts, quilt tops, quilt blocks, and fabrics including toiles and chintz, many used her lectures and personal research. - Lot Description
Home is Where the Heart Is Quilt made in 2008 BCQS (Black Canyon Quilt Show) Gone to Pieces Tuesday Quilt Group. It measures 49x40", And features a variety of house, tree, and heart blocks in bright colors and prints. It is machine pieced, machine appliqued, and machine quilted. There are hand applied embellishments. It is in good condition. There is a sleeve on the back for hanging and a label. From the Estate of Bobbie Aug. Bobbie Aug was a well known and regarded quilt historian, author, appraiser, and quilter for over a half a century. She was also an antique quilt dealer and quilt store co- owner and judge. Most notable is her work on the American Quilter's Society Quilt Appraiser Certification Committee and her early involvement in the Professional Association of Appraisers-Quilted Textiles. If you have any doubt, please ask questions! We will provide extra pictures, or can schedule an in person or video conference preview at your convenience. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $30 is a domestic shipping estimate for first lot and includes insurance. We will gladly combine multiple lots for your convenience and economy. Each additional lot we can pack in the same box is $5 each. Please feel free to contact us with any questions or for an International Shipping Quote BEFORE the auction.
