- Lot Description
Group of Antique Chemises and More. The group includes 1, 19th century nightgown, 1 antique 1920's chemise/slip, and 1, 19th century nightgown remnant. The 19th century full length linen nightgown features a heavy mix of embellishment such as, bobbin lace insets and trim, hand embroidery, knot work, draw work, and cut work. As well as a 5 mother of pearl front button closures a silk drawstring at the neck, an applied silk tape bow, and gathered shoulders. Laying flat it measures: shoulders: 15'', bust: 20'', sleeves: 19'', length: 53.5''. Also featured is 1 plus size antique 19th century three quarter length chemise featuring a missing neck and sleeves. it has tiny pickups at the bust and the the hem with a bobbin lace trim. Laying flat it measures: bust: 22'', waist: 22.5'' length: 38.5''. As well as 1 antique c1920 sleeveless cotton chemise featuring shoulder straps, scalloped hand embroidered eyelet trim laced with a thin silk ribbon, as well as a heavily work body covered in pickups, inset Normandy lace, floral embroidery, and draw work. Laying flat it measures: bust: 17'', waist 18.5'', length 35''. The group is in fair condition with overall toning, and spots. The plus size chemise is missing its yolk and sleeves, and the 20's chemise has several small holes. Please see the photos for details and condition. If you have any doubt, please ask questions! In house Flat Rate Shipping of $25 is a domestic shipping estimate for first lot and includes insurance. We will gladly combine multiple lots for your convenience and economy.
