We start 2025 off with what we love…QUILTS! We have several collections offered in this auction including additional quilts and feedsacks from the Estate of Sharon Stark, recently found quilts from the Estate of Bobbie Aug, a wonderful Bicentennial Quilt Collection, many published examples, and Quilts from the Estate of Judy Roche for the benefit of the AQSG 2025 Seminar in Maine! Stunning Victorian Era Crazy Quilts! Also added are a variety of other wonderful textiles, wool blankets, carriage blankets, antique and vintage fabric and vintage sewing magazines and ephemera. - Lot Description
3 Vintage Crib Quilts. Includes a c1870s Triangle Combination crib quilt comprised of 16 Triangle Combination squares set on point 4 x 4 and comprised of Lancaster double blue prints and a white and black print, alternating with a red stripe print solid block, with Lancaster double blue sashing, a red stripe border, hand pieced and hand quilted, thin cotton batting, a bars back reverse with the same red stripe print alternating with what once was a white and black print fabric, in poor condition with heavy fading and discoloration, holes and stains. Also, a c1950s-60s whole cloth crib quilt, pink cotton on one side and blue on the other, hand quilted with animals quilted into the border, poly batting measuring 22" x 29", in fair condition with fading and several stains. And a green and white Ruby McKim child's quilt, possibly Roly Poly pattern, includes embroidered blocks with animals and letters including an elephant, a giraffe, a walrus and more, measuring 40" x 59", hand embroidered and hand quilted, thin cotton batting and green reverse, in poor condition with a large tear, small holes, fabric deterioration, fading, and stains. From the estate of Sharon Stark, noted Pennsylvania textile dealer and award winning author. In overall good condition minor spots and/or discolorations, please see the photographs for imperfections. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $35 is a domestic shipping estimate for first lot and includes insurance. We will gladly combine multiple lots for your convenience and economy.
