- Lot Description
Includes a vintage c1960 Metallic Lace Cocktail Dress with a shell made of machine made baby blue lace in a polka dot and geometric design with blue tinsel and gold accents and a heavily beaded pointed crew neck embellished with a mix of crystals, beads, and sequins, in shades of gold, baby blue, and cornflower blue. It has three quarter length sleeves, a white rayon lining with a baby blue sheer overlay, and a back facing nylon zip closure. Laying flat the dress measures: shoulders 15'', bust 19'', length 38''. The dress is in good condition with some light discoloration to the ends of the sleeves and the hem, and some light losses to the heavily beaded collar. There are several fallen crystals and sequins included. Along with a vintage c1960 Metallic Tunic Dress that fully embodies the space age feel of the 1960's. The sleeveless high neck dress features a shell of metallic silver tone tinsel shag material with a repeating swirl design in white shag. As well as a heavily beaded neck border and collar embellished in Indian style motifs in a mix of silver bugle beads, prong set rhinestones in a variety of shapes, faux pearls, seed beads, and faceted clear glass cabochons. The dress has a nylon back facing zip closure. Laying flat the dress measures: bust 18'', waist 16.5'', length 55''. The dress is in fair condition with several spots, discoloration to the fabric at the bust, oxidation to the silver lined bugle beads, yellowing to the some of the crystal beaded accents, loose beadwork, a heavily yellowed and stained sheer lining.
