Varya McMillan received her MFA degree from the Art Academy in Sofia. Soon after her graduation she was awarded a scholarship to the International City of Arts in Paris - where she spent two years creating & exhibiting.During this period, her own artwork was included in a major group show at the Grand Palais. McMillan had many solo shows in Sofia and other European capitals, including Luxembourg, Vienna, and Paris. After she moved to the USA, her work was represented by Cohen-Abee Art Gallery in San Francisco for 16 years- until 2016. Some of her recent awards include First place & Juror's Award in Figurative category KVIE and Best of Show Bold Expressions, SFAC, Ca. The artist resides in Northern California in the Sacramento area. "I've had an incredible journey as an artist and feel so fortunate to have played a creative role in life. And the journey continues……..”
To pick up your artwork at the Crocker Art Museum, appointments will be available on a first-come, first-served basis for Sunday, June 11 and Monday, June 12. A weblink to reserve your pick-up time will be sent to you upcoming payment of your invoice. Buyers may also ship their work at their own expense.
