Information provided by the Artist: Rupy C. Tut (b. 1985, Chandigarh, India) studied calligraphy and Indian miniature painting at the Prince’s Foundation School of Traditional Arts, London in 2016. She previously received a BS from UCLA and MPH from Loma Linda University, CA. Her work is currently exhibited in the group exhibitions I Will Meet You Yet Again: Contemporary Sikh Art at the Fowler Art Museum and Into View: New Voices, New Stories at the Asian Art Museum, San Francisco. She has enjoyed solo exhibitions including Out of Place at ICA San Francisco; Search and Rescue, Jessica Silverman at San Francisco; A Recipe for Brown Skin at Triton Museum of Art, Santa Clara, CA; and A Journey Back Home at Peel Art Gallery and Museum Archives, Ontario. Tut’s work is in the permanent collection of the Crocker Art Museum, Sacramento; the de Young, Fine Arts Museum of San Francisco; and the Asian Art Museum, San Francisco. She lives and works in Oakland, CA and is represented by Jessica Silverman, San Francisco.
To pick up your artwork at the Crocker Art Museum, appointments will be available on a first-come, first-served basis for Sunday, June 9 and Monday, June 10. A weblink to reserve your pick-up time will be sent to you upon payment of your invoice. Buyers may also ship their work at their own expense. Email artauction@crockerart.org for more information.
