Michael was born in Sacramento, California in 1948. Throughout the 50s, he grew up surrounded by art and music as his father, Russ Solomon, founder of Tower Records, had a passion for all the arts. Michael joined Tower in 1987 as legal counsel and thereafter as CEO. After leaving Tower in 2003, Michael took over the family owned Solomon-Dubnick Gallery and continued his solo law practice. Michael still practices law, collects art, and is an avid “street photographer” with a strong interest in shooting jazz musicians.
