Marie Bergstedt re-emerged as a full-time artist in 2005, following 25 years as a development director. She has concentrated for 17 years in mixed media story telling and has had six solo exhibitions, 100+ group exhibitions, and has received 28 awards. Bergstedt participated in four artist residencies, among them the Lucas Artists programs at Montalvo. She has presented lectures, workshops, webinars, and videos, including at the San Jose Museum of Quilts and Textiles. In 2019-2022, Bergstedt has participated in eleven international venues including curated invitations from European Cultural Centre's Art Biennial Venice 2022, the 12th LB Fiberart Biennale, China, and World Textile Art's 25th anniversary. Her artwork will exhibit in the 7th Triennial of Riga, Latvia and Fiber Art Now Magazine in 2023.
To pick up your artwork at the Crocker Art Museum, appointments will be available on a first-come, first-served basis for Sunday, June 11 and Monday, June 12. A weblink to reserve your pick-up time will be sent to you upcoming payment of your invoice. Buyers may also ship their work at their own expense.
