Commissioned by Dale Wasserman; 1987 Donated to City of Hope by Dale Wasserman; Jack Rutberg Fine Arts, ,offered unframed,This sculpture by Leon Saulter was commissioned by DaleWasserman to celebrate the success of “Man of La Mancha”.
Condition
The work is accompanied by a letter from Dale Wasserman dated January 8, 1987 and a photograph of Richard Kiley, star of "Man of La Mancha", posing with the artist and sculpture.
Dale Wasserman was the playwright of “Man of La Mancha”, one of Broadway’s most successful shows; Richard Kiley in the photo was the starring performer in the production, “Man of La Mancha”. - Shipping Info
