- Lot Description
Ink and watercolor on board, 30.5 x 22.5 in. Let Us Answer It with WSS. Features two blue, bust-length portraits, including a German soldier at left wearing a Pickelhaube-type helmet and a frown on his face, and an American soldier at right, grinning from ear to hear. With a War Savings Stamps logo at center. An applied paper entry form on reverse indicates that this original poster art was submitted to a War Savings Stamps competition to be used for advertising purposes. N.d., ca 1917 or after.
Condition
Some light soiling of the poster and wear to the outer margins. On a heavier cardstock, but does not appear to be laid on paper.
