- Lot Description
.22 LR, 22" barrel, S/N 14705 (mfg. ca 1929). Blued finish, smooth, pistol-gripped walnut stock with checkered metal buttplate, and smooth walnut forend with single barrel band. Sling swivels with leather sling. Includes a single magazine. This circa 1929 Model 57 Target rifle is equipped with a Lyman 22 Junior scope and base. Based on the quality of work, it is most likely a factory installation, as indicated by the off-set proof marks. A very nice Model 57 Target rifle is hard to find as only 19,281 were made.

Condition
Fine. Retains most of the blued finish, with some flaking on the receiver. All markings crisp and clear, mechanically functional, fine bore. Optics slightly cloudy, but will probably clean up. Stock with minor nicks and dings.
