.30-06 caliber, 22" round barrel, S/N 2-7360 (1916 production). Blued finish, walnut stock, fixed box magazine, checkered steel buttplate. Standard Winchester barrel, tang and receiver marks, barrel additionally marked .30 GOVT. 1906. Top of receiver marked .30 / GOV. / .06. Receiver-mounted Lyman adjustable peep sight, as well as folding leaf sight on barrel, pinned blade front sight. It is amazing that at the height of WWI contract production of M-1895s for the Russian Army that Winchester was still turning out such finely made arms for the civilian market.
