An assembled set of Whiting sterling flatware in the Louis XV pattern, 228 pieces total, including fourteen 7.5" forks, thirty-two 6 7/8" forks, twelve pie forks, twenty-seven parcel gilt oyster forks, two berry forks, thirty-five teaspoons, twelve oval soup spoons, two round bowl soup spoons, eighteen demitasse spoons, seven egg spoons, fifteen tablespoons, one orange spoon, two master salt spoons, a bon bon spoon, five cream ladles, a gravy ladle, a soup ladle, six 4 3/8" butter spreaders, eight large butter spreaders, a butter pick, one fruit knife, a casserole spoon, a cucumber server, a macaroni server, a two-piece salad serving set, two small fish serving forks, two salad serving forks, a waffle server, a pierced nut serving spoon, an oyster server, a pair of tongs, and twelve blunt hollow knives with stainless blades in another pattern. All marked and monogrammed, some with retailers marks. Housed in an oak Geo. C. Shreve & Co. flatware case with monogrammed and dated plaque; longest lg. 12 in., total weighable silver wt. 247.15ozt (7686.5g).
