- Lot Description
7.25" x 3.75". Copper body with brass lid and spring pout devoid of dram markings. Top and spout may be a replacement. Both sides depict two donkeys in a field with "WHEN SHALL WE THREE MEET AGAIN" in a ribbon. This line is notably found as the first line in Shakespeare's Macbeth, spoken by the first witch. This unique flask is included as number 512 on page 307 of Ray Riling's The Powder Flask Book, though he does not offer any commentary on its origin. Two carrying rings.
Good. Body has a copper coloration becoming a deep bronze near the bottom. Spring is functional and spout unscrews easily. Repair marks present on seam.Condition
