- Lot Description
(Bonnie and Clyde) Fortune, Jan I. (editor). FUGITIVES; THE STORY OF CLYDE BARROW AND BONNIE PARKER. Dallas: The Ranger Press, Inc., (1934). First Edition. First Printing, September, 1934. 8 by 5 1/2 inches in orange cloth with black printing to the upper cover and spine; in pictorial dust jacket which is price clipped. From the foreword: "There was only one thing Bonnie and Clyde possessed which the above mentioned (Jesse James, John Dillinger, et. al.) did not own: Clyde and Bonnie had a love which bound them together in life and went with them to their graves."
Minimal marks to the covers; binding solid and sound - internally clean and unmarked. The scarce dust jacket is price-clipped and shows modest chipping to the edges and head and tail of the dj spine. There is also some black discoloration/staining at the very bottom and top edges - probably related to an earlier ill-advised dust jacket protector. Nonetheless, an attractive copy in the scarce dj.Condition
