- Lot Description
Approx. 33" x 17.25" Leather strap handles on each side, iron lock clasp, hinges, and corner reinforcements. Some original paint present. Stenciled "E.X." on front in white paint. Inside of lid marked "MAN'F'D by GEO. C. LANKLER BUFFALO N.Y." Inside lid also hand-labeled with "136928". Remnants of delivery label present. Non-original paper label reads "Well's fargo messenger chest."
Condition
Fair condition. Wear and damage on wood consistent with age and use. Some original paint remains. Some rust and corrosion present on metal parts.
