- Lot Description
.45 caliber, 5" barrel, S/N 50512 (Ca. 1879). All three major numbers mismatched. Reblued finish with replaced wood grips. Frame above serial number marked with "H.N." inspector markings. Triggerguard shows addition sub-inspector stamp. Top of barrel marked with two-line Hartford Colt address. Left side of barrel marked with caliber. Left side of frame marked with three-line 1879, 72, and 75 patent dates. Left side of frame also marked with "US" markings above triggerguard. Includes left-handed leather holster with novelty "Brothel Inspector" badge.
Fair. Light wear to reblued finish, which covered some old pitting. Some very light rust spotting on barrel. Rebluing has obscured many of the markings, leaving them legible with effort. Grips are free of cracking and other damage. Bore is fair with some pitting. Rifling shows some moderate wear with rounded lands.Condition
