Lot of 16, including the following badges, which range from 2.25 to 3.25 in. long: 2-part badge dedicated "To Jefferson Davis / President of the Confederate States of America"; 2-part "Souvenir" UCV reunion badge, medal with R.E. Lee bust, reverse side with CSA flags; 3-part "Veteran" badge for UCV reunion in Dallas, 1902, as identified on silk ribbon, which is attached to star-shaped medal with battle flag of the Army of Northern Virginia at center; 3-part "Veteran" badge for UCV reunion in Nashville, June, 1904, as identified on silk ribbon, which is attached to medal with battle flag of the Army of Northern Virginia; 3-part "Delegate" reunion badge from New Orleans, April 25, 1906; 2-part 24th Annual Reunion badge from Jacksonville, FL, 1914; 2-part 25th Annual Reunion badge from Richmond, VA, 1915; and NEA Atlanta 1929 shield badge from the National Education Association convention, featuring a rendering of the Stone Mountain (GA) carving of Lee, Jackson, and Davis.
Accompanied by: miniature paper flag made for Thomas J. "Stonewall" Jackson monument day, May 1, 1914, 1.25 in. square; miniature paper CSA Third National Flag attached to straight pin, 1.25 x 2 in.; cello pinback with portrait of Winnie Davis at center flanked by Confederate flags, 1.25 in. dia.; cello pinback featuring battle flag of the Army of Northern Virginia, 1.5 in. dia.; UCV "Memphis / 1901" official reunion button, 1 in. dia.; UCV "New Orleans / April 25, 1906" reunion button, .75 in. dia.; silk staff ribbon from the Louisiana Division, UCV Reunion, Richmond, VA, June 1915, 6.75 in. long; and 32nd Annual Reunion ribbon for the Georgia Division, October 19[2]4, 5 in. long.
Range in condition. 1924 ribbon showing spotting, separation along lower right corner and slight loss in this area as well. Light staining on some of the ribbons attached to badges, as well as some with frayed sections.Condition
