Blade length 35" with 27.5" fuller. Overall length 41". Brass hilt with wooden grip. Steel scabbard. Marked "U.S. C.E.W. 1864" in three lines right of ricasso. Illegible markings left of ricasso. Pommel marked "H.C"
Fair condition. Blade has completely darkened with rust throughout. Hilt has a mustard patina and the guard is slightly bent. Grip has lost its leather and wire wrapping. Scabbard darkened throughout with some pitting.
SHIPPING. At the request of the buyer, Cowan's will authorize the shipment of purchased items. Shipments usually occur within two weeks after payment has been received. Shipment is generally made via UPS Ground service. Unless buyer gives special instructions, the shipping method shall be at the sole discretion of Cowan's Auctions, Inc..
